Corporate Donation July 2024
We were absolutely delighted to meet the wonderful team from the NFP Group in July, a risk management company based in the US. They were visiting the TCI and were keen to give back to the community, and we were humbled and honoured to be the grateful recipients of a very generous donation of $25,000! Thank you to you all at NFP, we are deeply grateful for your thoughtfulness and your generosity.
Apart from bolstering our monthly Food Drives, we also intend to use this amazing donation for some additional outreach:
- buying and distributing school supplies, uniforms, shoes etc for the almost 200 children on our outreach list for the coming school year
- extra food items for the Moms to help with their kids during school holidays
- tarps, gas stoves, torches etc and other essential hurricane and storm supplies for out many families living in vulnerable acccomodations
- additional essential (and expensive!) cleaning and household products for our families
And finally, and this is something we have been dying to do for years, start a small piggy bank to enable us to step up quickly in the event of a major storm this season.
Thank you, NFP Group!

Human Rights Commission NGO of 2023
On December 9th, 2023 we were honoured to attend the Turks & Caicos Human Rights Commission Awards Dinner at The Shoreclub. We were thrilled to be nominated and absolutely floored to come away as winners. The beautiful plaque is now displayed with pride at our storage unit. We, as always cannot thank our volunteers and sponsors enough for helping us to continue to make a difference in our community

Food Drive July 29th/30th
Another Food Drive done and dusted last weekend! As you know, we now host our Food Drives over two days in order to get round everywhere we need to go. A massive THANK YOU to everyone who donated, we are sooo grateful for your support! On behalf of every single one of the families on our outreach list (around 100 on Provo/South Caicos and 25 on North/Middle) we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We delivered a big truck load of grocery bags to Enid Capron school in Five Cays, all packed with care, labelled with each recipients name, and ready to be distributed to the families of school children who the lovely Ms Claire had identified as really needing some help.

We delivered car loads of grocery bags to Blue Hills, Kew Town, DockYard, Downtown, The Bight and Lower Bight, Kingston, off the highway…. you name it, between us and our amazing distributing team we were there! We delivered to South Caicos via the ferry, and of course thanks to Miss B and Dorothy we also delivered to families across North and Middle Caicos too. Thanks as always to Lew 1 Shipping and Caribbean Cruisin for helping to make this happen. Close to 300 grocery bags in total were delivered. And of course, outside of the distribution days we are buying groceries, stocking shelves and packing bags, as well as coordinating our shipments to North and Middle Caicos too. There is admin to take care of, tidying, hustling for donations, and that's not even taking into account the ad hoc help we get called about from families in dire straits. All of which we are absolutely honoured to do of course.
Unfortunately this barely scratches the surface of the need here in TCI, But it is something, and if we all do a little bit then it will add up to a lot.

Orchard Success Story
We’d like to share with you a story of a young Mom who came to our attention about a year ago. She was in an an awful position, with nothing to her name and a young baby to care for on her own. When we first visited her she didn't even have running water. Outside of groceries and essential baby supplies we have helped her with items to help make the little room she lives in a bit more comfortable, as well as car rides and things that she needed to try and find work. She now has a job which she loves and she is starting to clear her debts, she has a nursery place for her child, and she is in a much better place both physically and mentally than when we first met her. We are honoured to to have been able to help support her through some of her hardest times and we are so proud of the confident young lady she is becoming. Everyone deserves a chance, right?

On July 3rd, 2023 Charlie Harvey, Rebecca Shaw and and Audrey Semple were honoured to be invited to meet with Her Excellency Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam as part of her Her Excellency's tour of ED 07 District of Blue Hills with The Hon. Sammy Been. The Orchard TCI have been involved in helping many families in need throughout the ED 07 district and were delighted to have the opportunity to talk to her about the work we do.
